Robertson Family Vacation

This year instead of going to Ohio for vacation, my family came down here.  Since they were here for the week we were able to go to the beach almost every day.  We would start the mornings off at the beach and then the afternoons were spent site seeing.

Lukie seem to like the beach.  He even liked being out in the waves.

One afternoon we went to the train museum.  Lukie and Da Da love trains, so we thought it would be a good time for grandpa and grandson to spend together.  Ironically I didn't get a picture of either of them together.

Happy 4th!!

Happy Independence Day!!

Today we celebrated our independence with friends, a boat, an island and a couple thousand drunk college kids.

Mason, Stephanie, Travis and Janet picked me, Christine, Jason and Brian up at the coast guard station and we went to Masonboro Island.  Masonboro Island is know for people gathering on the 4th to drink, boat, be in the water and have a good time.  This was my second time to Masonboro Island for the 4th.  This trip reminded me why.  There are sooo many people and boats.  All of us made comments about how old we were and that we were more concerned with not getting burnt, and having plenty to eat then trying to party and have too much fun.

Beach

Today we decided to take Maggie to the beach to see how she would do. We already knew that she liked the water, but wanted to see if she liked to swim. Well, she likes to attack the water and hates it when one of us decides to go in the water and she can not come. While we were there we did see a dolphin. It was swimming along the coast. The video was taken with my digital camera and you can just barely see the dorsel fin of the dolphin and you can see Maggie swimming.

Weddings 2 & 3

Yesterday we were invited to two weddings. They were an hour apart in both time and location. So we decided to attend our friend Kelly's wedding. Kelly's wedding was on the beach at Kure Beach. They rented a beach house for the week and had the ceremony on the beach and the reception in the house.

Warm Weekend

The weather has been crazy this past week. Tuesday it snowed and now it is in the low 70's. We decided to take Maggie to the beach. She LOVED it. She kept trying to run into the water. I think we are going to try and get a summer pass to Fort Fisher Beach where we can drive Brian's jeep out there. This summer should be fun!
