Rims on the River

Today we went to Rims on the River. It is a classic car show in downtown Wilmington along the river, for the most part. It was cool to see all of the old classic cars. They we lined up along 4 or 5 city blocks. Here are a couple of pictures of my favorites. The rest you can see in the picasa web album. We took Maggie with us. She was a hit. Everybody wanted to stop and pet her. She did really good.

Yard Sale

Today we had our first yard sale. I think we did pretty good. We were able to get rid of a lot of stuff and make money. We started at 7:30 and went to till noon. In out last hour we only had one customer and by that time I was over it. The money we made will pay for the garden we just planted. I think we'll do it again. Oh and the star of the show was not the yard sale it was Maggie. More people were interested in playing and petting Maggie than buying anything. She did really well. She didn't mind any of the attention.

Garden Time

Last year our garden turned out pretty well, so this year we decided to make it much bigger. We took out one of the planter boxes and used the side yard. So today we planted. We planted just about everything. Tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, peppers, corn, green onion, egg plant, radishes, green beans, lettace. You name it, it was planted. I just hope we have the same success we had last year. Our apples trees are blossoming as well. So hopefully in the next couple of years we will have apples to add to our list. Oh and we found out that Maggie loves to play with garden hose. She had a blast playing in the water.

Weddings 2 & 3

Yesterday we were invited to two weddings. They were an hour apart in both time and location. So we decided to attend our friend Kelly's wedding. Kelly's wedding was on the beach at Kure Beach. They rented a beach house for the week and had the ceremony on the beach and the reception in the house.
