Arts in the Alley

I scheduled my last dress fitting the same weekend as Arts In The Alley.  I haven't been to Arts In The Alley since I moved to Wilmington, so I was very excited to go and look at crafts, see the parade and see the band concert afterward the parade.  I do miss seeing the parade and looking at the booths that I think I may try to come home more during this time of year.

I did my final dress fitting and it is perfect.  I can't wait for Brian to see me.

I also got to baby sit my nephew, Lucas and I was able to take a couple of pictures of him while he was taking a nap in my arms.

Avett Brothers

Each year we try to go to a concert that each of us likes.  Then there is usually a concert that we both want to go to.  The Avett Bros. is that concert.  We have gone to see them that past couple of years and this band is the one that we both are eager to see.  We went again this year and this time we met up with some friends.  We had such a good time.  I think this is one band that we will always try to see.

Another fitting and family visit

Since I was home for my bridal shower, I also had another dress fitting and got to spend time with my family.  I have to come back again next month for my final because my dress wasn't even close to being ready.  It was a bit of a shock seeing it all torn apart.  I was assured that once it was done, it would be perfect.

Spending time with my nephew, one thing we all noticed is that he bites his tongue when he concentrates, just like his Papaw and his Aunt Autumn.  Guess that is a Robertson trait passed to the next generation.

Bridal Shower

My bridal shower was this past weekend in Ohio.  My mom and sister threw it for me.  I was able to get lots of presents and see family and friends.  Another bonus, some of the decorations they used for the shower, we'll be able to use for the wedding as well.  They did a wonderful job and I had a great time.

Happy Birthday to Me!

My birthday this year I wanted to be low key.  I guess as you get older, you don't get as excited for your birthday as you did when you were little.  Or maybe it is the fact that we are planning a wedding and didn't really feel the need to spend money.  My desk at work was decorated and I did get an iPod (thank you Brian) and two of my favorite meals for my birthday.  Mexican and Thanksgiving dinner.

Happy 4th!!

Happy Independence Day!!

Today we celebrated our independence with friends, a boat, an island and a couple thousand drunk college kids.

Mason, Stephanie, Travis and Janet picked me, Christine, Jason and Brian up at the coast guard station and we went to Masonboro Island.  Masonboro Island is know for people gathering on the 4th to drink, boat, be in the water and have a good time.  This was my second time to Masonboro Island for the 4th.  This trip reminded me why.  There are sooo many people and boats.  All of us made comments about how old we were and that we were more concerned with not getting burnt, and having plenty to eat then trying to party and have too much fun.

Bachelorette Party

Last night was my Bachelorette Party.

Christine organized a great party.  We ended up going on the Haunted Pub Crawl.  We had food, beer and ghost stories.  The first stop on our pub crawl, we had some ladies that were very excited about me getting married.  As you can tell by one of them in the picture below.

I had the traditional list of items that needed to be found throughout the night.  I pretty much checked everything off the list.  The toughest one was to find a guy with the same name as the groom and kiss him.  Who would have thought it would take all night to find a guy named Brian!
