The first batch of beer did not turn out so good. Ever see those old commercials with the guy with the bitter beer face. Yeah, it was that bad. Fortunately enough we'll be able to use the beer in the garden to ward off slugs.
However, the second batch of beer turned out and we had a few of friends over to try it out. It must have been good because we hardly had any left. We'll see how the next batch goes. I think we are going to try for a strawberry beer.

Tar Heel Basketball
Yesterday I went to my first Tar Heels basketball game. I was kind of looking forward to it. I've heard that their games are a lot of fun and can be exciting. But before we could leave I had to have my car fixed. One of the passenger windows went down and decided to not come back up. I made it to the dealership when they opened at 7 am and did not leave there until almost 11. Needless to say the dealership knocked off a few dollars for my long wait. I mean how long does it take to just put up a window. That should have been my first clue as to how the game was going to go. But more that of that in a minute.
Brian has always talked about going to the Carolina Basketball Museum which is next to the Dean Center. We left early enough to that we could go. It was a pretty neat place. So much basketball history. They had the floor cutout from their NCAA Championship game from 2005, the letter from Coach K to Michael Jackson. Championship rings. Just tons of stuff.
After the museum we ventured over to the Dean Center to get our seats to watch the game. I think it was one of the most boring basketball games I've ever been to. The Tar Heels did not play up to expectations and the final score ended up being 67 to 71 with Boston College winning. I've never heard so many fans be upset at their team and how they under performed. I told Brian that I would go one more time to give them a chance, but if they played like that again I'll never go to another Tar Heels basketball game. We'll see how next year goes.
