Today we went out to Brian's grandfather's plantation house to check out the place again and see if this would be an option for either a back up location for the wedding or to use it for our engagement photos. We decided to use the house for our engagement photos. I'm excited about it. I wanted to do them here because it has family ties to Brian and it is a beautiful old house.
The place is located on the Black River and has been used as a movie set for a couple of movies. One of the more famous movies filmed here was Rambling Rose. This move had Robert Duvall, Laura Dern and Diane Ladd. One of the most interesting things about the movie is Brian's grandparents are in the movie. It is interesting to watch and then see his grandfather on the tv screen in one scene and his grandmother in another.
