Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was fun. We put up a volleyball net and got Maggie's pool out. Sunday we played in the pool and on Monday we had Brian's family over for a cook out. We had ribs, chicken wings, and potato salad. After a while Aidan played in the pool and we played badminton.

All Star Race

This past weekend we went to the All Star Race in Charlotte. This is our second race that we've gone to. I must say that this years race was much more exciting to see than last years. You could feel the energy and excitement. We saw a girl throw up all over herself and I think the seat in front of her, there was a crash that happened right in front of us with 8 laps to go, a Kyle Bush fan that looked just ridiculous and a Subaru Outback take out parking cones and almost run over pedestrians. The traffic leaving the speedway was much better. We didn't have to sit in the same spot for 2 hours. The one big difference was the fans. Last year, everyone was really friendly. This year we had a couple of guys sitting behind us that was looking for a fight. We left before we could see if anything happened with those guys. Oh and if you've been following NASCAR lately then you know about the suspension of Jeremy Mayfield. They had a plane flying around with a banner that said, "Free Jeremy". I thought that was pretty funny.

Pool

A while ago I decided that we should get Maggie a pool. So when the hot summer months came and we couldn't take her to the beach, she would have a way to cool off. The day we bought the pool she would only get in while we were in there. Today she had fun on her own, with a little coaxing on our part. We are also enjoying the pool as well.
